Why a coffee-based exfoliant?
We would all love to have very smooth and dazzling skin, we just haven’t found the perfect way to achieve it. Exfoliating the skin is an excellent method to rejuvenate it and improve its condition. The properties of coffee are what give our body rejuvenation after using an exfoliant made from this ingredient. Ground coffee and not after use, contains caffeine and antioxidants that can be transferred to your body.
After one of these short but delicious massages, your body or the area where it is applied will be deflated, without redness, with less cellulite and stretch marks. Somehow, coffee scrubs remove dead cells on our skin, hydrate it and make it return to the softness and silkiness of a newborn.
On which parts of the body do we use the coffee exfoliant?
These natural mixtures that we are going to start using, now with greater knowledge, can be used in almost any area of the body. It is especially recommended for the face, elbows, heels, knees, thighs, forearms, belly and buttocks. We want to explain what you will work in each area.
On the face, it facilitates the extraction of blackheads and that facial creams and masks adhere better to the skin of the face and improve the results of your beauty routines.
Heels, elbows, and knees are heavily exposed to the fresh air on a daily basis, so scrubs will make them look brighter and better hydrated.
On the thighs and belly it will help you reduce cellulite and stretch marks, but you must do it with some regularity and with constant and effective movements.
How often to do the exfoliation?
It depends on several factors, such as the area of the body, the ingredients you use and your skin type. If you notice any adverse effect in its use, do not hesitate to see a specialist or dermatologist. Some people think that it is perfect to perform exfoliations three times a week, however, this can irritate your skin a little, if you do it twice a month is enough. In oily skin, you can afford to do it more frequently, while in dry skin you should avoid exfoliating more than twice a month.

¼ cup of brown sugar, 60 ml of coconut oil and half a cup of coffee.

When applying your exfoliating coffee mask, spread a tablespoon of the mixture on the area you want to exfoliate and rub with constant circular movements. Massage between 3 and 5 minutes and let it sit for about five more minutes. Then rinse with plenty of water and pat dry with a soft towel. Apply moisturizer at the end to leave the skin in optimal conditions.
It is very important that before the exfoliation you wash your skin with plenty of cold water and a neutral soap, this way you enhance the adherence of the mixture and its benefits. On the contrary, after performing the exfoliation, you need to dry yourself with a soft towel, pressing the skin without rubbing it and then apply a sunscreen before going outside, in order not to overexpose your skin.
